Two coves worth the short drive
The Paštrovići coast rewards anyone willing to drive a few minutes more. Two coves stand out:
- Lučice — a sheltered, almost lagoon-like bay barely a kilometre south of Petrovac. Calm, shallow water and a couple of beach bars make it a favourite for an easy swim. There's a short coastal path from town if you'd rather walk.
- Buljarica — a long, wild, partly undeveloped beach just beyond Lučice, backed by a green wetland. It's pebbly and open, with space to spread out even in August. Bring water and shade; facilities are limited by design.

From Tivat airport count on something like 40–50 minutes, and from Podgorica closer to an hour via the Sozina tunnel — both traffic- and season-dependent, so treat these as ballpark figures. One 2026 note for the bay side: the Vrmac tunnel near Kotor has been subject to repair and intermittent closures, so if your route runs through Kotor, check its status on the day and keep the scenic bay road as a backup.
