- Skadar Lake: about 30 minutes.
- Budva and the coast: about 1 hour.
- Kotor: about 1.5 hours.
Because TGD sits next to the capital, it's the most convenient gateway for the interior, Lake Skadar, and onward routes toward the north of the country, while the coast is still an easy day's reach.
Getting around and parking
Podgorica is flat, modern, and easy to navigate by car, with wide boulevards and straightforward parking compared with the older coastal towns. Heading out of the city, the main routes toward the lake and the coast are well signposted.
If your plans lean coastal, it's worth comparing your options: arriving instead at Tivat Airport puts you closer to Kotor and Budva from the start. From TGD, the drive to the seaside is still comfortable, just allow extra time in peak summer weeks when the coastal roads fill up.
